Pat McGrath launches her make-up collection (and it's not in limited edition anymore!)

Born from backstage fast-paced rhythms, from the need of giving voice to a unique creativity and substance to unfulfilled necessities, Pat McGrath's new make-up collection “Pat McGrath Labs Unlimited Edition” is an hyper-performing selection of must-haves for eyes and lips which nuances and textures, incredibly, flatter anyone.

PatMcGrath Labs is "everything that I needed but struggle to get" says Pat as she introduced her striking collection at The Ritz in Paris, a few days ago.

“Backstage there is no time”; there is no time to adapt the colors to every model’ skin tone, there is no time to linger on blending eyeshadows, there is no time to impeccably paint a matte lip. That is why Pat McGrath decided to make her life easier by creating a collection able to satisfy all her need and, consequently, that of every beauty addicted.

 Outstanding in performance, Pat McGrath Labs Unlimited Edition is also the first collection that does not make distinctions because, thanks to a smart selection of pigments and an incredible balance of nuances, it really flatters every woman, regardless of the color of her skin, eyes and hair.

"How did you manage to create the perfect color nuance for everyone?” I curiously asked.

"I've tried everything on everyone around me." Answered Pat and, as a confirmation, all the members of her team (and not only) begun to nod.

A research that lasted years, inspired by the glamor of catwalks, covers and shooting, conducted among pigments manufacturers and infinite tests, and enclosed in 87 makeup trunks that still accompany Pat between sets and backstages. 

A research that gave voice to her vision of a fearless but not impossible style, making it universally accessible.

All the products of Pat McGrath Labs Unlimited Edition are to be considered (without exaggeration) absolutely perfect: highly performing eye shadows, lipsticks, eye and lip pencils with with a never-seen-before color-payoff that maintains the intensity throughout the day.

The "Mothership" Eye Palettes

Three are the multi-tasking palettes that translate Pat’s fearless style packing ten eyeshadows each, ranging from the most natural to the boldest nuances declined in matte, satin, glittering metallic and duo-chromatic prisma textures.

Let me tell you that, a part from the color selection, what really makes the difference are the textures: 

• it’s a never seen before “single swipe saturation at the touch of a finger”;
•  
• the formulas are weightless, they blend perfectly on top of primers, foundations but also on nude lids and "once they are set, they stay put";
• the lasting power is unmatched;
• they are incredibly multitasking and each shadow can be used dry, damp or wet. You can easily create eyeliner strokes, color blocks, smoky eyes, nude looks or use some nuances as blush, bronzer or highlighter.

Never an eyeshadow palette has been more functional, it really looks like Pat McGrath has packed all her know-how (and her 87 makeup trunks) in these three palettes, accompanying us nuances after nuances in her personal jewelry shop. Let's go see them in detail.

Mothership_I_Subliminal

Consider this palette a "minimalist magic" consisting of neutral nuances marked by flash of color. Set up in more than 25 years on the set, the Mothership Subliminal Palette allows you to create from ultra-natural look - with an obviously specially-special twist - up to striking . It is a “very very expensive" and extremely sensual result. The nuance that hit me most? Ultimate Taupe, that effortlessly sculpts and delivers depth.

Mothership_II_Sublime

A "mesmerizing metallic" beauty that interprets with a twist a selection of warm and extremely refined tones, illuminating them with lustrous shimmers that delivers any kind of glow, from celestial to sun-kissed.

The to-die-for nuances? Iconic, the softest and dusty golden taupe with a metallic essence, and Blitz Emerald, a unique emerald green that perfectly recalls the jewel. Extreme Black is perfect as an eyeliner but is a bit difficult to blend as an eyeshadow (yet it works well mixed with Dark for a smoky result).

Mothership_III_Subversive

Subversive is the colorful representation of Pat McGrath's "USE WITHOUT CAUTION" make-up manifesto, a selection of extreme nuances that transform make-up into wearable art. You should definitely try the gold-green nuance of Gigabite, Pat’s favorite.

Consider it as “artistry without boundaries”.

PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil

Think of a stroke, think it thin, think it neat, think it graphic or even dramatic. Thanks to the gel technology Pat McGrath Lab eye pencils "go on so beautifully", glide on the eyelid disarmingly, easily blend and then "they stay put" all day.

Mattetrance ™

"I wanted to create a matte that was comfortable and beautifully “paintful” but that it was moisturizing at the same time. Obviously I was asking for the impossible." An input that made Pat create Mattetrance™, THE ultralight matte with the perfect balance between moisturizing and matte finishing.

Luxetrance ™

"Luxetrance™ is a creamy, extremely moisturizing lipstick. Very very rich." It's like a solid mousse that makes an extremely luxurious lips effect.
