Glamour and gloss sum up the look at Julien MacDonald. For next Fall makeup artist Val Garland looked at a “Berlin Boudoir” focusing on a full lacquer claret lip that perfectly echoed the glossiness of the slicked back hairstyle by Syd Hayes.
The makeup look was a dream to look at with its shiny and translucent lids - paired with flattery lashes - that went along with the high-gloss lips and the clear skin. Simply finished and gorgeous, complexions were prepped with L’Oréal Paris’s forthcoming Infallible 24-h Matte Foundation and some highlights on cheekbones. The trick behind the 3D effect of the glossy lips was topping lipstick and lipgloss with a specially mixed silver pigment that resembled liquid mercury.
Handful of gel was used by Syd Hayes to slick back the sides of each girl’s hair and to reflect the elements of gloss that marked the fil-rouge of the beauty look.
