Che l’arancio fosse il nuovo rosso non è una novità ma c'è da dire che non tutti sanno sfoggiare una bocca vibrante con disinvoltura. Nonostante sia un colore che dona freschezza, il più delle volte intimidisce, ma basta conoscere pochi segreti per poterlo rendere proprio.
Prima di tutto, la cornice. L’arancio è protagonista e non vuole rivali. Tenete quindi il resto del make-up al minimo e concentratevi sulle labbra. Di giorno optate per una texture matte o satinata come quella del nuovo rossetto di Proenza Schouler X MAC in Mangrove o del nuovo Baby Doll Kiss&Blush di YSL (provatelo in Orange Fougueux). Create una base perfetta e traslucida (evitate fondotinta dal finish opaco, il risultato sarebbe innaturale), qualche punto luce strategico, evitate il mascara e il gioco è fatto. La sera giocate, invece, con una texture shiny come quella del Lip Lover di Lancome in Orange Manege o del Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Artefice, due tonalità tangerine che lusingano tutte le carnagioni. Incorniciate lo sguardo con sopracciglia bold e ciglia esagerate.
Ora passiamo alla scelta della sfumatura perfetta. Le pelli più chiare possono giocare più o meno con tutte le tonalità di arancio, ma io personalmente le preferisco con un colore pieno e non vibrante come il Rouge Dior in Rendez-Vous di Dior. Le carnagioni medie si sposano bene con le sfumature dell’albicocca e i toni più caldi come quello del Rouge Pur Couture in Le Orange di YSL, mentre le pelli olivastre devono optare per tonalità più fredde come Tibetan Orange di Armani Lip Maestro.
Chi fosse già abbronzato può giocare con i colori forti. Perfetta è la Matitona di Nars in Timanfaya.
Le carnagioni più scure, infine, devono scegliere un arancio che tende al rosso coma quello di Rouge Dior in Trafalgar.
Se ancora aveste dubbi il mio consiglio è quello di scegliere una finitura traslucida che dona il giusto tocco di colore per ravvivare qualsiasi carnagione. Il mio preferito? YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in Corail Incandescent.

Said that, lets choose the hue that complements your complexion perfectly.
Fair skin is the luckiest, any orange-based colour will flatter it. Pick Dior’s Rouge Dior Couture in Rendez-Vous if you are looking for a full coverage lip color as well as moisturizing power.
To complement the warmth of medium skin tone opt for an equally warm hue like YSL’s Rouge Pur Couture in Le Orange. Apricot works as well on this complexion.
Olive skin should pick a cooler, blue-based shade like Armani Lip Maestro in Tibetan Orange.
The brighter the better if you are already bronzed. Go neon orange with Nars Timanfaya Pencil.
For darker skin tone a red orange hybrid is the perfect match. Try Rouge Dior in Trafalgar .
If you still have doubts go for a sheer orange, the hint of hue is universally flattering and livens up every skin tone. My favorite sheer lipstick is YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in Corail Incandescent.
