Sotto i riflettori niente note di tendenza quindi, ma un classico intramontabile, l’incenso, un accordo ricco e seducente che si unisce all’identità di Acqua di Giò nella creazione di una nuova fragranza, più oscura e profonda, mascolina ed eterna. In March, Armani launches Acqua di Giò Profumo a profoundly sensual fragrance that, echoing the timeless Acqua di Giò, opens a new olfactive chapter: mineral, captivating and rich in contrast.
Reinterpreting the myth of Acqua Di Giò, Acqua di Giò Profumo holds up to the same fresh-yet-strong dna emphasizing it with a dry, mineral nature, as sharp as the crest of a wave. “Each Armani’s perfume is an olfactory allegory of Italy, like a journey" says Elisabeth De Feydeau and with the new Acqua di Giò Profumo Armani wanted to represent “The true essence of Italy, the timeless one" as Alberto Gorillas, author of both fragrances, explains. Hence a fragrance born from a volcanic island, where the power and perfection of nature is made tangible and the sea meets the shore burnt black by the sun in the fusion of rocks and water. Accordingly, no up-to-date notes were used, instead a eternal olfactive key with enveloping incense notes took the center stage reinterpreting the classic Acqua di Giò in a new elixir; woody, aromatic but still aquatic, that is more obscure and deep.
Acqua di Giò Profumo opens in a single wave of spices and citrus notes of elemi and bergamot, its heart erupts with geranium, sage and rosemary pulsing as it warms the skin to release a recognizable cloud of patchouli and incense. An elusive trail that reconciles the impossible: finding harmony in the contrast of a simple form and the complexity of a composition, between freshness and opacity, from the darkest stone to the most crystalline blue of the sea.
