È Julian Bedel l’inesauribile creatore di Fueguia 1833, un brand di profumi di nicchia che fa dell’Argentina la sua costante ispirazione: panorami, scenari, sensazioni, ma anche una vibrante cultura che fra storia, arte e musica si integra in una natura che domina, vergine e ancora incontaminata, su tutto il resto.

Fueguia 1833: l'etica e l'ecosostenibilità del brand

Eppure Fueguia 1833 non è solo questo, non è solo un dialogo a due, ispirazione e stimolo, sensazione e visione, è anche attenzione all’ecosistema nel suo scegliere le materie prime migliori - di origine vegetale e biodegradabili - nell’aver deciso di eliminare dalle proprie formulazioni i composti policiclici del muschio (dannosi sia per l’uomo sia per le specie acquatiche), nell’aver messo a punto un sistema verticale che nulla lascia al caso durante la produzione. Julian Bedel coltiva le sue materie nella piantagione Fueguia Botany, le distilla attraverso l’estrazione con CO2 supercritico (per un impatto ambientale ridotto al minimo) e allora a Milano idea, formula e produce delle fragranze numerate in uno spazio di oltre 1.000 metri quadrati. Una fabbrica di profumi nel cuore della città meneghina, un sogno per ogni perfume addicted.

Fueguia 1833: Thays

Fra le tante fragranze ideate dall’inesauribile estro creativo di Bedel (è difficile stagli dietro, credetemi) Thays nasce da un dialogo fra lui e la sua infanzia, è un omaggio all’architetto paesaggista che oltre a plasmare l’identità di Buenos Aires caratterizzandola con grandiosi spazi verdi, progettò anche una delle case in cui Julian Bedel crebbe, un angolo di paradiso immerso nel verde. Ed ecco che Thays nasce come una fragranza prettamente floreale ma nel suo svilupparsi si fa interessante, si fa verde, si arrotonda, è un crescendo incostante di accordi che mantengono i sensi vivi. Sviluppandosi intorno al Fiore del Mate, al Tè (camellia sinensis) e all’Osmato, Thays si apre su un accordo agrumato amaro che nel giro di poco si fa verde, fresco quasi aspro per essere poi stemperato a mano a mano dalla cremosa dell’Osmanto. Eppure questo connotato floreale rimane latente, non arriva ad esprimere una fioritura piena e lussureggiante ma lascia un’idea intrigante di qualcosa in divenire.

Julian Bedel is the inexhaustible maker of Fueguia 1833, a brand of niche scents that makes of Argentina its constant inspiration: landscapes, sceneries, sensations, but also a vibrant culture that combines history, art and music with nature dominating - virgin and still uncontaminated - on everything else..

Yet Fueguia 1833 is not just this, it is not just a two-way dialogue, inspiration and incitement, sensation and vision, it is also attention on the ecosystem in choosing the best raw materials - of plant origin and biodegradable - in deciding not to use in the formulations the polycyclic compounds of moss (which are harmful both to humans and aquatic species), in having developed a vertical system that leaves nothing to chance during the production. Julian Bedel cultivates his ingredients in the Fueguia Botany plantation, distill them through extraction with supercritical CO2 (for a minimized environmental impact) and then he gives live to his ideas in Milan, where he formulates and produces numbered scents in an area of ver 1,000 square meters. A perfume factory in the heart of the Italian city, a dream for every addicted perfume.

Fueguia 1833: Thays

Among the many fragrances created by Bedel's unmistakable creative mind (it's hard to keep up with him, believe me) Thays was born from a dialogue between him and his childhood, it's a homage to the landscape architect who besides of shaping the identity of Buenos Aires characterizing it with great green spaces, also designed one of the houses where Julian Bedel grew up, a corner of paradise immersed in greenery. And Thays is, in fact, a purely floral fragrance that turns out to be very interesting in its green and rounded up developement, an olfactory crescendo that keep alive the senses. Developing around the Flower of Mate, Tea (camellia sinensis) and Osmathus, Thays opens on a bitter, citrus arrangement that in a little while becomes green, fresh and almost sour to be then softened by the creamy Osmanthus. Yet this floral connotation remains latent, does not come to express a full and lush bloom but leaves an intriguing idea of omething in the making.
