The Fob

Have a short hair commitment problem? Then consider the fob. Showed off at last year’s Emmys by Claire Danes, it was worn at the Golden Globes this month by Cate Blanchett and Taylor Swift. What I saw on the red carpet were two different and exciting fresh take on the faux bob, a hair style that I’m always eager to try (yes, I have a short hair commitment problem too). Blanchett’s was my favorite, smooth and sophisticated, but I liked as well the playfulness in Swift’s one.

All you need to get this look is a lot of mousse, a handful of bobby pins and a lot of patience (or better a good hair stylist).

Il fob ai Golden Globes

Il capello corto, si sa, è appealing ma scary allo stesso tempo e, per chi come me non ha il coraggio di darci un taglio è finalmente tornato di moda il fob, il finto bob che tanto andava ai tempi dei nostri genitori. A sfoggiarlo sui red carpet ci hanno già pensato Claire Danes agli scorsi Emmy's, e Cate Blanchett e Taylor Swift ai Golden Globes.

Sul tappeto rosso dell'ultimo evento in questione le interpretazioni del faux bob sono state diametralmente opposte: Cate Blanchett ha sfoggiato un caschetto sleek e sofisticato, mentre Taylor Swift ha giocato con qualche riccio per dare un tocco di freschezza a un look d'antan.

Se volete ricrearlo quello di cui avete bisogno è tanta mousse, una quantità infinita di forcine e, o tanta (ma tanta) pazienza o un buon hair stylist.
