Pensate alla freschezza della primavera, al bagliore di quel sole ancora ingenuo che risveglia i colori dei giardini in fiore. Questa allure, questa sensazione a dir poco piacevole, è stata racchiusa nella collezione makeup Glowing Gardens, una chicca in limited edition firmata Christian Dior. Adottando il fascino vibrante e la luminosità primaverile tipica dei giardini della Normandia - dove il Maître Couturier passò la sua infanzia - questa collezione dalle mille sfaccettature e dai colori vivaci si anima sul fil rouge di un bagliore sublime che si reinventa a seconda dei prodotti, delle sfumature e delle texture.
Tocchi eterei di colore vestono gli occhi con la palette 5 Couleurs Glowing Gardens in Rose Garden, un’elegante, esplosiva eppur versatile combinazione di nuance che spazia dal verde vegetale al giallo ranuncolo, dal marrone terra al pesca nude, tendendo come base un rosa delicato e luminoso. La texture è setosa, sottile e ben pigmentata, assolutamente non polverosa ne’ gessosa, si stende con facilità e si sfuma che è un piacere, andando a vestire gli occhi di una luce ovattata.
Più veloce e intuitivo è, invece, l’ombretto in crema Diorshow Colour & Contour, una matita a due punte che combina un ombretto iridescente a lunga tenuta e un liner iperpigmentato. Pensato per donne on-the-go, il Diorshow Colour & Contour crea look diversi in un batter d’occhio e si declina in cinque nuance dal fascino floreale ma dal vibe cittadino. Iris, ad esempio, combina uno splendido grigio setoso dai sottotoni violetti con un liner blu intenso e si presta sia ad essere usato da solo sia a fare da base alla palette 5 Couleurs Glowing Gardens per ottenere un risultato più sofisticato ed aumentare la tenuta degli ombretti in polvere (guardate il risultato nell'immagine qui sotto). Un unico consiglio: quando usate il liner non tirate fuori troppo la punta, la sua consistenza è cremosissima e la mina potrebbe spezzarsi.
Lo sguardo è il focus della collezione Glowing Gardens, ma le novità che la riguardano sono tante altre. Le unghie si avvicinano alla natura grazie a le Dior Vernis e si tingono dei colori del cielo con Bluette, della freschezza dell’erba appena tagliata con Garden, dell’eleganza di una peonia rossa con Pivoine e dell’allegria del rosa dei lillà con Lilac. Sfumature bucoliche che sto testando e amando e di cui presto scriverò.
Anche le labbra si vestono di colore e di luce, ma questo è tutto un altro capitolo, cosi come le novità della collezione che fanno capo alla gamma Backstage Pros. Tornate venerdì per saperne di più e, intanto, arrendetevi al fascino floreale di questa collezione.

This charming feeling, this unique allure is epitomized by Christian Dior’s Glowing Gardens Spring 2016 makeup collection that, in tune with the season, adopts the lively springtime luminosity of Normandy’s gardens - where the Maître Couturier spent his childhood - to create a range of multicolored products with a gorgeous glow in countless hues and textures.
Eyes are subtly emphasized in ethereal touches with the Glowing Gardens 5 Couleurs palette in Rose Garden, an elegant, explosive yet versatile combination of shades ranging from sunny yellow and lime green, to deep aubergine purple and coppery golden pink, with a shimmering pink with rose gold reflects on top. These last three shades are (in my opinion) to die for. The texture is silky, finely milled and well-pigmented, absolutely not powdery or chalky, it blends easily and dresses the eyes with a cocooning light.
For a quicker eye look Dior launched the new Diorshow Colour & Contour, a striking new limited edition range that combines shadow and contour in a double ended pencil. On one side, the shadow features an iridescent finish with a great lasting power and, on the other, the liner is extremely pigmented in order to rim the lash line with a quick gesture. I tested the shade Iris, a purple grey shadow with a midnight blue liner, and I have to say that used solo, the Diorshow Colour & Contour is a great ally for everyday life but, if you have more time on hands, try it as a base to structure a smoky eye and then blend on the last three shades of the Glowing Garden 5 Couleurs palette in Rose Garden, it will increase the lasting power and make the colors more powerful (check out the result in the image above). Just one advice, when using the liner don’t stick out the tip too much, it’s really creamy and breaks easily.
Anyway, Glowing Gardens is not all about the eyes. Nails gets close to nature and are celebrated with pastel hues inspired by floral and botanical shades: Bluette mirrors spring’s bright blue sky, Garden lacquer nails with the freshness of green grass, Pivoine is as elegant as the flower it is named after and Lilac is the best pink you will see this spring.
