The New Elegance at Prada Fall 2015
New Elegance. Due parole per descrivere il beauty look voluto da Miuccia Prada per il suo show Autunno Inverno 2015, un concetto che Pat McGrath e Guido Palau hanno colto al volo e che hanno tradotto in un trucco soft ma comunque visibile e in un updo dal vibe Anni Ottanta impreziosito da barrette che già ci fanno sognare.
Per creare il look makeup Pat McGrath ha lavorato con una palette di colori sottotono e, dopo aver uniformato e illuminato l’incarnato con un fondotinta leggerissimo, ha messo in risalto gli occhi grazie a un ombretto in crema leggero dalla sfumatura castagna applicato solo nella piega dell’occhio. Le labbra sono state invece dipinte con una tonalità pastello dal sottotono arancio-rosato, le sopracciglia sono state messe in riga e infine le guance sono state illuminate da un tocco di blush.
Guido Palau, a capo del team haistyle, ha poi dato vita ad un’acconciatura sorpendente. Dopo aver trattato i capelli con Stay High di Redken per conferirgli un buon grip, li ha raccolti in una coda alta e tesa al centro della testa. Dopo aver nascosto l’elastico con una ciocca di capelli arrotolata intorno allo stesso ha portato le lunghezze di lato e le ha fermate con delle barrette scintillanti e floreali che richiamavano gli accessori portati in passerella.
In poche parole dimenticatevi il look punk che ha sfilato per la Primavera alle porte, per il prossimo Autunno Inverno 2015, la donna Prada asseconderà l’ottimismo e il feeling ladylike della collezione, in un mood bad girl gone good.
New Elegance. With these two words Miuccia Prada briefed the beauty look for her Fall 2015 collection. And it took no time to Path mcGrath and Guido Palau to traduce it in action creating a pared down but still visible makeup and a puffed-up side ponytail embellished with the most precious barrettes that will bring you straight back to the Eighties.
Legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath worked with a muted palette of colors for all the face. After applying a light coverage foundation to even out and brighten the complexion, she worked a little bit of soft cream chestnut shadow in the socket of the eyes, she groomed the brows and finally she picked a pale pastel-pink lipstick for the lips and she gave a slightly flushed appearance to the cheeks.
To create the striking hairstyle, Palau prepped the hair with Redken’s Stay High for additional grip and then pulled the strands into a taut tail in the middle of the head. After hiding the elastic with a section of hair he swung the ponytail to one side and secured it into place with glittery plastic floral-shaped barrettes that matched the accessories in the collection
Long story short, forget the bold punkish look seen for Spring 2015, it is like the bad girl at Prada decided to (finally) go good with their newly refined beauty look that matches the optimism and the ladylike feeling of the collection.
