It's all about Misia
Creata in primavera, ma perfetta per le stagioni più fredde, l'ultima fragranza della collezione Les Exclusifs de Chanel è stata pensata dal naso Olivier Polge che, al suo debutto come creatore dei Parfums Chanel, ha confermato le sue capacità dando vita un’armonia olfattiva unica nel suo genere, una fragranza che entrerà a fare parte della storia, proprio come fece la donna da cui prende il nome: Misia Sert.

Musa del suo tempo e amica per eccellenza di Coco Chanel, Misia fu colei che stravolse la vita di Mademoiselle, salvandola dalla disperazione dopo la morte di Boy, introducendola agli artisti chiave del tempo e all’élite parigina, e riscrivendone, dunque, il futuro. Una storia inaspettata la loro, proprio come l’ultima creazione esclusiva dei Parfums Chanel che al contrario di quello che ci si aspetterebbe, non è un banale ritratto olfattivo della Musa dei primi del Novecento, bensì rappresenta la svolta che l’incontro con la giovane polacca rappresentò per Gabrielle Chanel.
Così come fu proprio Misia a suggerire a Chanel la creazione di un’Eau Chanel, la loro amicizia non poteva che realizzarsi in un profumo. Richiamando ciprie d’antan, Misia ruota intorno a un cuore di violetta che riporta immediatamente indietro nel tempo, agli Anni Venti, periodo in cui i Ballets Russes erano all’ultimo grido e di cui le due amiche erano mecenati silenziose. Fonte d’ispirazione di ieri come di oggi, i balletti di Serge Diaghilev strabiliarono l’élite parigina proprio come la nuova fragranza Chanel lascia noi a bocca aperta facendo riaffiorare sulla nostra pelle le arti seduttive di quelle opere d’avanguardia. A dar vita alla magia e a sostenere la violetta è un bouquet ricercato composto dalla preziosa rosa di Grasse, dall’avvolgente rosa turca e dall’iris più lussuoso, che si fonde sulla pelle grazie alla rotondità della fava tonka e del benzoino del Laos.

Launched in springtime but perfect for the coldest days, the latest fragrance of the collection Les Exclusifs de Chanel has been created by the nose Olivier Polge that, assuming for the first time the in-house perfumer title alongside his father, Jacques Polge, has confirmed his skills creating a unique olfactory harmony, a scent that will become part of history, just as the woman from which it takes its name from did: Misia Sert.
“In a woman, there is everything. In Misia there are all the women”
Muse of her time and great friend of Coco Chanel, Misia dramatically changed Mademoiselle’s life, saving her from despair after Boy’s death, introducing her to the key artists of the time and to the Parisian élite, and rewriting, therefore, her future. An unexpected story, just like this last Chanel’s Parfums, an exclusive creation that on the contrary of what everyone would expect, is not an olfactory portrait of the muse of the early twentieth century, but represents the turning point that the encounter with the young Polish represented for Gabrielle Chanel.
Since it was Misia to suggest to Coco the creation of a Chanel’s Eau, their friendship could only be fulfilled in a perfume. Recalling the powders and the expensive makeup of the time, Misia evolves around a heart of violet that immediately brings you back in the Twenties, to that period when the Ballets Russes were à la mode and of which the two friends were silent patrons. Serge Diaghilev’s ballets astonished the Parisian élite just as today the new fragrance amazes us with its capability of filtering through our skin the seductive arts of those avant-garde works. To give life to this magic and to support the violet is a refined bouquet, composed of the precious rose of Grasse, the enveloping Turkish rose and the most luxurious iris, which melts on the skin thanks to the warm and seductive base made of notes of tonka bean and benzoin from Laos.
