With this tweet, MAC explained BCBG Max Azria beauty look for FW 2014. Val Garland, lead artist for the MAC Cosmetics pro team, created something young and a bit androgynous to keep the girls very real. The models’ complexions were fresh thanks to a sheer layer of Face And Body Foundation and a hint of Cream Colour Base in Shell on the cheekbones and lips (which were made matte with Mixing Medium, a colorless wax-based emollient). The focus was on the eyes: wide-opened, smoky and wine coloured. To achieve this gaze Val applied MAC Vino Lip liner on the crease of the eye and blended it into the socket with brush n.224. She then worked the berry-hued eyeshadow named Organic (to be released later on this year in the trend eye palette) to deepen the color. Eventually the brows were brushed with the clear brow set.

The hair, cured by Laurent Philippon for Bumble and Bumble, was swept over the forehead, one side tucked behind the ear and the other under the hair in the back. It was very New Yorker, Philippon didn’t want a hairdresser hairstyle, like there was no need to take much effort to look cool and stylish. To hold the style in place he created a little braid at the neck and then texturized the hair with curling iron and Bumble and Bumble Prep to give some separation and texture.

For the nails OPI was in charge.
