Chanel does brunch beauty

If there is a show everyone is alway waiting for is Chanel’s. Every season Karl Lagerfeld takes a different scenario to the next level and, after the high-end supermarket, the fashion demonstration and the origami garden this time he erected a full, functioning restaurant - Brasserie Gabrielle was the name, of course - at the Grand Palais. Complete with fruit bowls, café-au-lait (it couldn’t be more French then this) and unexpected bartenders the restaurant worked as a catwalk where models sported two different beauty looks: a boys-meet-girls one and a Parisian ladies at lunch for the other.

Se c’è una sfilata che il fashion system aspetta sempre con impazienza è quella di Chanel. Ogni stagione Karl Lagerfeld trasforma la passerella in un vero e proprio set e, dopo il supermarket di lusso, la protesta fashion e il giardino di origami, questa stagione ha costruito un ristorante vero e proprio - chiamato, ovviamente, Brasserie Chanel - all’interno del Grand Palais. Con tanto di coppe di frutta, café-au-lait (più francese di così…) e inaspettati camerieri, il ristorante ha visto le modelle sfilare e sedersi al bar o ai tavolini a chiacchierare, il tutto mentre sfoggiavano due diversi beauty look: uno dal carattere androgino boys-meet-girls e un in stile ladies Parigine al brunch.

Haute Couture Spring 2015: Flower power - the Chanel Way

Flower Power, in stile Karl Lagerfeld, per la sfilata Chanel Haute Couture Printemps-Eté 2015. Nel contesto immancabilmente grandioso di un flower market fatto di origami surreali e fiori meccanici, le modelle hanno portano in passerella hairstyle degni di nota fissati (sotto notevoli copricapi con tanto di tulle e velette) in morbide trecce chiuse sul fondo da delicati fiori di stoffa. Sotto tutto questo grandeur spuntano ammiccanti labbra rosa-tulipano (per non perdere il fil rouge floreale) e sguardi avvolti in una nuvola taupe cha asseconda alla perfezione il mood stravagante dello spettacolo.

Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to make satin-flower hair accessories and fishnet masks cool again. At Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2015, models walked down the runway with their hair secured (under remarkable hats) with a strip of mesh or woven into a loose braid, fastened at the end with delicate fabric flowers. Peeking out from all this grandeur tulip-pink lips looked absolutely striking whereas the heavy band of taupe shadow that was swathed around eyes and brows accompanied perfectly the whimsical mood of the show.

Chanel gives opulence a modern twist at Métiers d'Art Show in Salzburg

Dalla location regale e Rococò del Castello di Leopoldskron alle giacche delicatamente ricamate fino al makeup delineato d’oro, tutto parlava di opulenza all’ultimo Show Métiers d'Art Paris-Salzburg di Chanel. Non sorprende dunque che gli abiti portati in passerelle siano stati stupefacenti così come il beauty look, che non è passato inosservato neanche questa stagione.

From the royal and romantic location of Castle Leopoldskron in Salzburg to the golden edged eye makeup, everything was pure opulence at Chanel’s last Métiers d'Art Show. Not surprisingly, the clothes worn on the runway were amazing as well as the beauty look, which even this season has not gone unnoticed.
