Jungle fever @ Balmain AW14

Balmain goes jungle. For next fall Olivier Rousteing created a fearless mash-up of hip hop style and safari chic and Mcknight and Pechuex followed him promptly.
Make-up was barely there, as the girls were ready for an expedition into the wild, they only wore a little foundation (lighter then the base), concealer, and brow powder. Pecheux intention was to create a safari goddess and he made it. Well, it is easy when you have an army made of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Joan Smalls, Angela Lindvall, Karlie Kloss, Anja Rubik and Jourdan Dunn!
At the hair McKnight created a strict center part and textured tail that showed off the neckless and the earrings of the collection. He defined his work as an unbrushed, lazy ponytail with a structured front and he achieved it using a mix of water and Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray after tying off the length with an elastic.

Per il prossimo inverno Balmain si è fatto selvaggio. Olivier Rousteing, direttore creativo della maison, ha dato vita a un impavido ibrido di stile hip-hop e jungle fever che è stato colto al volo per il beauty look da Sam Mcknight e Tom Pechuex.
Neanche le modelle si stessero preparando per un vero e proprio safari estremo, il make-up è stato praticamente inesistente e ha solo perfezionato il look con un sottile velo di fondotinta (di un tono più chiaro della pelle), un tocco di correttore e una sistemata alle sopracciglia. L’intenzione di Pecheux era di creare delle dee del safari e ci è riuscito alla grande. Non che fosse difficile avendo una squadra composta dalle top model più ambite! Qualche nome? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Joan Smalls, Angela Lindvall, Karlie Kloss, Anja Rubik e Jourdan Dunn.
Ai capelli Sam McKnight ha creato una coda bassa con una severa riga centrale per mettere in mostra le collane e gli orecchini della collezione. Ha definito il suo look come una pigra ponytail che non è neanche stata spazzolata, risultato che ha ottenuto spruzzando un mix di acqua e Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray a coda fatta.
